Neurowizards

Neurowizards game is made for silly improvised adventure in a world where magic is real, but the only people who can control it are the AuDHD community. Autistic focus on ritual and ADHD big feelings power it all on a human level, and these wizards have needs from saving the world to just wanting to engage in their special interest. In the way of this are evil wizards, monsters, and so-called charities.

Originally conceived as a WEG D6 game called Autism Wizards, the scope broadened to AuDHD and systems simplified as I moved to Lasers and Feelings for a simple magic system that's easy to pick up and play. No mana, no cooldown, just wizards overcoming a world that isn't friendly to the neurodiverse in a cooperative and highly improvisational RPG.

The first revised edition of Neurowizards is out now, featuring significantly improved rules to help define the game's systems, add some needed friction, and make the game easier to run. I've archived the original files to avoid confusion, but will try to post them into a devlog file for easy access. For the moment I don't want to create confusion with too many versions.

The game is available in a roughly identical PDF, docx, and odt file format, but only PDF is guaranteed for consistency. I've also created an accessible HTML version of the game through the Lich Queens Not a PDF template! This is also recommended for anyone reading off of a mobile device, tablet, or smaller screen of any sort.

As with the first edition, all updates are intended to be free and any costs covered by previous donations. I'll also try to keep older versions available.
